Date Of Birth: Hurled to earth upon his feast day, November 11.

Eyes: Green in a way which jealousy must envy.
Family: Zeus (father), Hera (mother), and a string of brothers and sisters, both legitimate and illegitimate.
Background: Ares, the Greek war god, is believed to have been derived in Thrace where sacrifices were often rendered to a sword in hopes of recieving good fortune in battle. From there, worship was taken up in Sparta, and later the rest of the Greek world. Like his sister Athena, Ares served as a patron of battle, though unlike his sister, he did not embody strategy or victory. While Athena might be counted as the Olympian general, Ares was the brawler; a man who loved nothing more than to strap on his armor and wade into the fray.
Never much beloved by Zeus, or any of the other Olympians truth be told, Ares was cast down from Olympus and made to walk the world as a mortal. The reasons behind his exile and the terms of his return are still very much a mystery.
